Pupil Premium Strategy and Recovery Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

At Bishop Martin, we are committed to ensuring provision is made for all pupils, and that teaching and learning opportunities meet the needs of all pupils and allows them to make progress and achieve.

Pupil Premium funding was introduced in April 2011, and is paid by means of a specific grant based on school census figures for pupils, reception to year 6, registered as eligible for FSM at any point in the last 6 years and pupils in care or who left care through adoption or another formal route. The school also recognises the educational disadvantage faced by other pupils, including those who are Children in Need of help and protection, and are receiving statutory support from local authority social care.

The Government believes that the Pupil Premium is the best way to address the underlying inequalities between children eligible for FSM and those who aren't. The funding is additional main school funding to reach the disadvantaged pupils who need it most.

The documents on this page will be updated thoughout the year.
