Hello and welcome to the Year 5 class page!
This year we have SO many fun and interesting learning experiences planned for you. In this half-term's Science topic, we will be learning all about Forces and Movement. In RE, we will be exploring Jesus the Teacher. We will study Lady of Mercia in History and Migration in Geography.
We will continue to study one main book for our English lessons but we will also be reading a wide variety of other texts - both fiction and non-fiction - from across our curriculum to help strengthen our understanding in a range of topics.
Throughout this half-term, Year 5 will be having gymnastis on a Tuesday and swimming on a wednesday. You will therefored need your PE kit on these days.
Homework is provided on a Friday and is due the following Tuesday. Weekly spellings are set on Spelling Shed. TTRS can also be accessed to support knowledge of times tables and MyMaths to support your child's mathematical understanding. Log in details for all will be found in your child's reading record.
